vault56 is built in Sweden and hosted in the EU. We make it possible to build and run serious software without handing your backend to a cloud outside Europe.
Why we exist
Almost every software team ends up stitching services together: one for data, one for files, one for sign-in, one for email, and usually most of them outside the EU.
We think the platform itself should be enough. vault56 gives you those building blocks in one place, and we prove it by building all of our own products on it.
It works for people who don't write code too. Describe the app you want and vault56 AI drafts it on the same platform experienced developers use directly.

Independent by design
Built in Sweden and hosted in the EU, with no US company in the core platform. That shapes every vendor choice and every data path.
Platform, not plumbing
Backend work should be something the platform does, not something every team rebuilds. The less plumbing you write, the more product you ship.
Open to everyone who builds
Developers get full control. Everyone else gets vault56 AI. Both build on the same foundation.

We started building the platform we wanted to use ourselves: a backend that behaves like a product, not a pile of custom plumbing.

Generated APIs, S3-compatible storage with versions, and workflows and permissions built into the platform.

Describe an app in plain language and get a first version: data, rules and screens. Always optional.
