Titan
Object storage

Store your data securely in the EU, through the S3 API or your web browser.

Titan is the storage system the vault56 team built in-house over three years to keep our customers' data. All the files you store on vault56 live on it. You can also use the Titan cluster directly for raw storage: through the S3 API with the tools you already use, or by uploading and browsing files in your web browser.

What Titan does

For teams that need S3 storage in the EU for backups, archives, media, CAD files or any other raw data, without running storage themselves.

Two ways in

Use whichever suits the job. It's the same data either way.

  • The S3 API

All 49 S3 operations, multipart uploads, range reads and presigned links, so existing S3 tools and code work unchanged.

  • Your web browser

Create buckets, upload, browse, preview and download files without installing anything.

  • Sign in with vault56

Use your vault56 account, and create access keys for scripts and applications.

  • Shareable links

Hand out a time-limited link to a file instead of sending it as an attachment.

Your data, protected

  • Encrypted at rest

Every piece of every file is encrypted with AES-256-GCM.

  • Spread across machines

Erasure coding stores data with parity across disks and servers, so a failed disk or server loses nothing.

  • Write once, read many

Object Lock keeps files unchanged and undeletable for as long as you set, for compliance and ransomware protection.

  • Versions

Keep earlier versions of a file and go back to them.

Built and run by vault56

We wrote Titan ourselves, so we know exactly where your data is and how it is kept.

  • Hosted in the EU

Your data stays in European data centres, under EU law, with no US cloud involved.

  • The storage behind vault56

Every file on vault56 lives here: platform file storage, app files and Custodia backups.

  • Access control

Decide who may read or write each bucket, and set quotas per user or bucket.

  • Priced per terabyte

Pay for the storage you use. Current rates are on the pricing page.

Runs on vault56

Titan is the storage underneath vault56: platform file storage, the files your apps keep and Custodia's backups all live on it, and its Object Lock protects backups that must not change. You sign in with your vault56 account, and storage is billed with the rest of your account.
